RUTHANN is a contemporary art gallery and project space located on Main Street in Catskill, NY. RUTHANN presents local and regional artists; we affirm and welcome all identities. Co-directors and artists Georgia Elrod and Witts aim for RUTHANN to provide a dynamic art space that focuses on showing both underrepresented and established contemporary artists working within a wide range of media. RUTHANN hosts workshops, pop-ups, performances, and loves to collaborate.

RUTHANN is dedicated to building solidarity. Beginning in May 2026, RUTHANN will alott 10 percent of art sales from the gallery portion to a non-profit organization that benefits vulnerable communities. Designated non-profits will be listed in the exhibition press release and linked on the website and on social media.

RUTHANN’s gallery is adjacent to the offices of CREATE Council on the Arts. CREATE is a nonprofit service organization committed to enriching the communities of Greene, Columbia, and Schoharie counties through the arts. CREATE fosters a vibrant arts ecosystem by championing local artists and cultural organizations, offering essential resources, and promoting creativity.

Currently occupied by CREATE, the adjacent rental helps to subsidize our costs to rent the ground floor commercial spaces. This rental is part of Parkside Studios, which offers affordable artist studios and creative workspaces for rent in Brooklyn, NY and Catskill, NY.
